The opening of the House of European History’s temporary exhibition “When Walls Talk!” in April 2022 was celebrated with the presence of the internationally-renowned artist Dan Perjovschi, who added artwork directly onto the walls of the museum in his own inimitable style.
Dan Perjovschi also returned to the museum on a second occasion in July, to complete his drawings and deliver an ad-hoc lecture to visitors. He spent hours talking with the audience and explaining the world created in his drawings.
After reviewing the themes of the poster exhibition and touring it in person, Dan Perjovschi, a pro-European but also a social, political and economic critical artist, started to draw incisive, intelligent, thought-provoking images that are in dialogue with the posters in the exhibition.
The images in the media gallery below show the link in time and space from historical posters to actual drawings by the artist.
