Through the Educational Outreach Program, the Learning and Outreach Team fosters interest in the wealth of perspectives on European History and inspires the next generation of critical thinkers.
The museum invites people with different lived experiences to contribute with their testimonies into a joint kaleidoscope of shared memories. By bringing communities together to question Europe’s past, we build bridges and make people feel more connected to the Europe of today and tomorrow. Are you part of an organisation active in education and youth work? Explore our opportunities and contact us today to work together on educational programmes for our communities.

Youth voices

We believe in connecting the content of the museum to the lives of young people both nearby and far away. Our team of educators continuously develops activities with and for younger audiences. Together, we create fun memories and new connections, we develop positive attitudes, skills, knowledge and critical understanding.

European Youth Event

Every two years we present a new activity at the European Youth Event (EYE), organised by the European Parliament. The EYE takes place in Strasbourg and brings together 5,000-10,000 young Europeans between 16-30 years old. The learning team of the House of European History has facilitated workshops on "The EU step by step: History of the European Integration", “Information Revolution The Power of Communication in European History” and “Think like a change maker, a storytelling game”.

Working with European History projects and history enthusiasts

Working with history projects across Europe is integral to the mission of the House of European History, as it nurtures a deeper understanding and appreciation of European heritage and its narratives. By partnering with relevant projects, we can enrich our exhibitions and educational programs, ensuring they reflect diverse perspectives and resonate with a broad audience. This collaborative approach strengthens our commitment to promoting European unity through the exploration of shared histories and identities.
