Black Europe 2026

Black Europe 2026 brings together scholars, artists and institutions from across the continent, asking what becomes visible when Black experiences and intellectual traditions are understood as part of the making of Europe itself.

On Saturday 3 October the Black Europe 2026 panelists will be in conversation, highlighting initiatives from Romania and Poland to Italy, Sweden and beyond.

The conference will also mark the launch of the Journal of Black European Studies and of “Beatriz Nascimento: Pour une Feminotheque de l’Atlantique Noir”.

The conference is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
