The touring exhibition “Fake for Real” opened on the third stop of its journey in Budapest on the 19th of November 2024. The Blinken OSA Archivum welcomed the exhibition about fakes and forgeries. A press conference beforehand was attended by 25 journalists, followed by approximately 150 guests at the official opening.
The Blinken OSA Archivum is a repository of historical documents primarily related to the history and afterlives of the Cold War, grave international human rights violations, and marginalised communities. In addition, the Archivum is the official archive of the Central European University and the Open Society Foundations network. This merges perfectly with the transdisciplinary approach of the Fake for Real touring exhibition.
Moreover, the Blinken OSA Archivum is a similar to the House of European History in terms of values: it promotes the power of democracy and shared knowledge, it provides free access to all of their resources, including the touring exhibition visit.
The House of European History warmly thanked the team that carried out the installation, communication of the exhibition and upcoming learning programs.
Among them: István Rév, Director; Katalin Gádoros, Head of Administration; András Mink, Senior Research Fellow; Ferenc Nemzetes, Head of Technical Department, Árpád Gergácz, Technician; Katalin Székely, Creative Program Officer; as wells as, the Communication and Outreach Team, the IT team, the Administrative Team; and many others.
The exhibition is open until the 16th of February 2025 and is ready to welcome curious visitors from 12 years old, during normal visits or special educational programs.
